Congratulations on your pregnancy! You must be ecstatic and excited to see your little one already. However, I’m pretty sure you’ve been having anxiety and asking yourself daily questions about this new being living inside of you! This is why I have gathered the best pregnancy applications to date, and summed up an informative description of each app for you, so you don’t have to do it!
Here are my favorites:
This is a free app. Now i’m pretty sure most of you have already read the “What to Expect when you’re Expecting” book by Heidi Murkoff, or at least heard of it once. So if you’re an on-the-go mama, this is a lighter and quicker version of the book. This app has the fruit size tracker which is loved by every pregnant mama. Hey! Wouldn’t you like to know when your baby is a strawberry, an orange, or even a watermelon?! They also have weekly videos of your baby’s development and yours.
This application is for free. It’s like a day-by-day guide through your pregnancy. If you are a foodie, and would like to know what size fruit your baby is today, this is the application for you! It has a contraction counter to help you time your contractions, and includes a bumpie photo diary, which I thought was really nice! You’ll also be able to check out more articles and videos, and join forums from the Baby Center through this app.
This is a free, award-winning app!
It is very organized, comprehensive, and easy to use. This app delivers daily and weekly facts about your growing baby, has a baby bump photo folder, a fun baby names guide, helps you track your contractions and doctor appointments, and has a chart that calculates your estimated weight gain every week. No wonder this app is so popular!
This app is my personal favorite, and it has the best visuals! The beautiful weekly images appear as 2D & 3D ultrasounds, and you can watch your baby grow in an animated video every week. All the standard features can be found: a baby size visualizer, a personal diary, a calendar, a weight gain tracker, a kick counter, a contraction timer, a baby shopping list, and much more.
This is a free app, and a very popular one from the creators of “The Knot”, if you have ever heard of it (it’s a wedding application). It has a planner guide to help you prepare ahead for all your doctor visits, a due date countdown, and a lot more. But one really nice feature about this app is the interactive 3D visualization of your baby’s growth, where you can learn cool facts about his/her development. One piece of advice though, don’t join the community chat areas, they tend to be annoying!
Now this is pretty awesome! This is the best app for first time daddies and it was so funny, I had to check it out myself every single day! The app is written “by Men for Men”. You can buy it for $2.99, and it features weekly updates on baby’s development (with a funny twist), a hospital bag checklist, a development timeline, a contraction counter, and a potential baby name list! And my personal favourite: the daily tips to your partner that gives them an understanding as to what their pregnant wifeys are going through everyday.
